Sarah is a resilient persistent entrepreneur and a passionate homemaker fueled by a passion for cooking. With SIIKA FOODS, she aimed to provide an authentic and shelf-stable product line without sacrificing taste or quality, while at the same time establishing a positive impact on her local African Canadian community.
Sarah is a born and raised Ugandan, who migrated to Canada in 2001 and is married with four children. She creates an array of handmade simmer sauces and marinates and is driven by her passion for preserving African related incredible cuisines through a creation of flavorful and authentic African-inspired convenience foods with a desire to create a family business around that passion. Her hope is that one day she will see them on mainstream supermarket shelves along other ethnic specialties.

Officially launched in 2018, Siika Foods is a purpose-driven specialty food brand that is bringing authentic African flavor to the world through our uniquely authentic, and healthy African-related products.
With local authentic farm-grown ingredients, we are producing small-batch artisanal African sauces, hot sauces, and spices that are fair-trade. We craft all our current collections using natural, preservative-free, vegan, and gluten-free ingredients.
Siika Foods celebrates a heritage by connecting people through African-inspired flavors created at Siika; flavors found in various items including cooking sauces, chili sauces, and spices.
In line with its name Siika, sauces are made for simmering foods in order to bring out their best flavor.
